Oaxaca is very walkable but you will need a taxi to get from airport to town.

Easiest way to find a taxi is to head to the taxi stand immediately as you exit the main terminal area of the Oaxaca airport. A taxi to the center of town is $390 MXN (~$20 USD). The fare must be paid in pesos, so try to get cash before going to get a taxi. There is no Uber or Lyft in Oaxaca, but taxis are cheap and plentiful in El Centro Oaxaca. An average cab ride is $50 to $90 pesos (about $2 - $5 USD).
